Lancashire bowler Sajid Mahmood has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club to the end of the 2009 season.
2007 was a frustrating season for Mahmood, whose opportunities with England were limited following the World Cup and further hampered when he underwent a double hernia operation midway through the season.
Although he missed a lot of cricket this year, Mahmood still played a big part in Lancashire's season - finishing with 30 first class wickets at an average of 31.83.
Mahmood, who turns 26 next month, made his Lancashire debut in 2002 and has established himself as one of the country's quickest bowlers.
