DARWEN will get the chance to see how far they have progressed under Wayne Watkins when they entertain Kirkham and Wesham in the second round of the Division Two Trophy.
Darwen suffered a 5-0 hammering at the hands of the league new boys on the opening day of the season but Watkins has turned things around since taking over in October.
"This match has no relevance on the league but it will give the lads the chance to see how far they have progressed since that first meeting," said Watkins whose Darwen side have won their last four matches.
