Burnley defender Clarke Carlisle returns to Vicarage Road tonight for the first time since his £200,000 move in August.
And the Clarets stopper is not surprised that Watford are already topping the table, saying: "I know that Watford will be up there, there or thereabouts this season."
"He's building something there, he's got a long-term plan for the club and he will execute it and he's one of those people who convinces you he's going to do what he says.
"But then I don't just want to tag along to that in the background.
"I'm not going to sit around and wait for my chance to get in a team, I don't believe that's a stage of my career that I'm at."
