Blackburn Rovers v Reading - Ewood Park, tomorrow 3pm
KEY BATTLE
READING have kept three clean sheets in their last four matches, but having scored his first goal of the season against the Royals in the reverse meeting, Adam Armstrong will be the main threat to that form tomorrow. Tom McIntyre has been in good form in the heart of the Royals defence and will be the man looking to stop him.
PREVIOUS MEETING
BRADLEY Dack scored on his 100th appearance as Rovers left the Madejski Stadium with three points. Armstrong opened the scoring with a stunning strike, before Dack’s close-range finish just after the break. John Swift’s goal added some nerves late on. Rovers had to come from 2-0 down in their previous Ewood meeting, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson with a double before the break, before Charlie Mulgrew to scored two penalties as the points were shared.
MAN IN THE MIDDLE
Tim Robinson – was the man in the middle for Rovers’ February draw with Brentford where he awarded both sides a penalty. He also pointed to the spot in Rovers’ April 2019 win at QPR.
TEAM NEWS
ROVERS are once again without Derrick Williams, Amari’i Bell, Corry Evans and Bradley Dack. Ryan Nyambe, Joe Rothwell, Lewis Holtby and Sam Gallagher will be among those hoping for a recall.
For Reading, ex-Rovers loanee Lucas Joao is a doubt with a hamstring problem.
