Former England international Ray Wilkins has slammed the boo-boys who again turned on Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Bentley during the friendly win over Austria on Friday night.
And he appealed to supporters to follow the lead of the tartan army and create their own Hampden roar at Wembley on Wednesday night when England entertain Croatia.
He said: "When David Bentley came on as a substitute on Friday night, he was booed. Now I was the first to say David was wrong for not going with the Under-21s to the European Championships last summer, but it's finished.
"If he is going to represent England we should get behind him and pat him on the back. But we don't do that.
"Our supporters have got to stop whingeing and get behind the group of lads that pull on that shirt."
