CLITHEROE put their Lancashire Cup misery behind them with a 3-1 win over Mossley.
The home side struck the post in the opening minutes and Paul Horridge made a vital early save as Mossley piled on the pressure.
Mickey Saunders had a couple of shots that were easily saved by the Mossley keeper in a shot-shy first half for the Blues. But the second half was just a minute old before Mossley took a 46th minute lead with a firm header from a cross.
But Clitheroe equalised in the 60th minute when Russell Clarke headed home a corner.
And the Blues took the lead in the 81st minute when Neil Zarac pounced on a loose ball to drive it home, before he made sure of the points with another strike in the 90th minute.
