BURNLEY have officially recalled Nahki Wells from his loan spell at Queens Park Rangers as the race for his signature hots up.
The striker has scored 15 goals for Mark Warburton’s side this season, 13 coming in the league, as he spends a second season at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
A host of Championship clubs are looking at a permanent deal for Wells with the Clarets ready to cash in.
He moved to Turf Moor for £5 million back in August 2017 but has not made a competitive start for the Clarets.
The former Bradford and Huddersfield striker also scored nine goals on loan at QPR last season.
“The Clarets exercised their option to curtail the loan agreement and have brought Wells back to determine the striker’s long-term future,” Burnley said in a statement.
