The Clarets went down to a 4-1 defeat at Turf Moor to Manchester City.
Here's how the players rated...
Nick Pope - 7 - Star man
Had no chance with any of the goals and helped keep the score down in the first half with a couple of outstanding saves from Sterling and Bernardo Silva.
Phil Bardsley - 5
Barely got forward and really should have done better with the second goal. Allowed Jesus to ghost in front of him to score.
Ben Mee - 7
Seems strange to praise a centre half when a side has conceded four goals but Mee was solid all night. Didn't panic and put in some key challenges.
James Tarkowski - 6
Stuck to his task and dealt with balls into the box well. Has a tendency to look for the difficult pass at times which invited more pressure.
Erik Pieters - 6
Recalled to the side due to injury, the Dutchman did allow City's wide men a bit too much space at times. Could have got closer to his man a couple of times.
Aaron Lennon - 5
Brought back into the side in place of Brady but didn't show enough to justify that selection. Just didn't work despite his efforts.
Danny Drinkwater - 5
It's been a long wait to see the Chelsea man in a claret and blue shirt in the league but he largely flattered to deceive. Needs game time but was out-bossed by City midfielders.
Jack Cork - 5
Similar to Drinkwater in the sense that he never really had the measure of his opposite numbers in the middle of the park. Worked hard but to no avail.
Dwight McNeil - 6
Tried to get things moving but found Kyle Walker in fine form. Tracked back well to help Pieters. Had one free-kick well-saved.
Jeff Hendrick - 5
Not much came off for the Republic of Ireland international. Was overrun at times and had little effect on the game going forward.
Chris Wood - 5
Little service into the big striker so was always feeding on scraps. Didn't impose himself enough on the City defenders.
Ashley Barnes - 5
Sent on by Dyche at 2-0 down but didn't provide a better option than Wood up front. Plenty of toil but no reward.
Jay Rodriguez - 5
Struggled to link with Barnes. Difficult coming into a game like that but needs to go out wide and look for the ball more.
Robbie Brady - 6
Took his goal calmly and tried to get things moving. Will feel a little disappointed he didn't start.
