AFTER seven wins on the bounce things are looking good.
My only worry is the number of injuries we're starting to pick up. Mokoena took a sore one on Wednesday night, Bentley was taken off and Savage was already out.
Our midfield has taken an almighty blow.
At the start of the season we were saying how Mark Hughes had cover for every position and that's certainly going to be needed now.
There's no good time for injuries to happen, but this is probably the worst time, with two huge games coming up against Liverpool and Manchester United.
The only good thing is that Steven Reid is almost ready to come back and his return will be like signing a brand new player.
Ideally, I think Mark would have preferred to have eased him back into first team action against a team like Derby, but if he does bring him back now, he'll be throwing him right in at the deep end.
Having said that though, Rovers have started really well and have already taken points off Arsenal and Chelsea. They've proved they can mix it with the big clubs and I think they can go into both games with nothing to fear.
Liverpool certainly won't be relishing a trip to Ewood Park.
I've seen a few press conferences recently and every manager has said what a good team Rovers are and how difficult they are to beat.
We are the form team at the moment, probably alongside Arsenal, and that breeds confidence in the squad.
The players are going into games knowing they can win them. Not so much last year, but a few seasons ago, that wasn't happening, and we were starting off looking a bit nervous.
Now we're at teams right from the first whistle.
And that's the way we're going to have to be in our next two games.
If we can win them, who knows where we can end up?
