EX-CLITHEROE defender Simon Garner admits he'll be setting his recorder as he prepares for his television debut tomorrow night.
Garner and his Stalybridge Celtic team-mates take on Blyth Spartans at home in the first round the Setanta Shield in front of the Setanta cameras.
And the 25-year-old, who made over 150 appearances for Clitheroe during his two-year spell at Shawbridge, said he was looking forward to the match with nervous anticipation.
"I'll definitely be nervous," he said. "I know the cameras are going to be there, but hopefully I can just treat it like any other game.
"If you want to reach the top in football, this is something you've got to get used to.
"I think there will be a good few of my family and friends watching it and I'll definitely be setting my Sky Plus for it."
Garner made the move to the Blue Square North side in the summer and conceded he didn't enjoy the best of starts.
But although his early days at Stalybridge were mostly confined to the bench, he has featured in the last eight, six of which the side have won, taking them up to seventh in the table.
He added: "I suppose it has taken me a while, but hopefully I can kick on from here.
"I've had to be patient and wait for my chance, but I've come in and played the last eight and I'm looking to carry on from there.
"Clitheroe was a good standard of football and this is another step up the ladder. I'm improving all the time by playing and learning from better players.
"We're seventh at the moment and we're on a good run. We just want it to continue for as long as possible."
