Although the view is that Blackburn Rovers are blessed in the strikers department, I do wonder if Mark Hughes should look to add to his options in January, and I think he could do worse than look close to home.
Kyle Lafferty still looks a bit raw and with a lot to prove, but I see quite a lot of the young James Beattie in him and he would surely jump at the chance of learning the striker's trade from, not only the likes of Roque and Benni, but Hughsie himself.
I suspect if we did sign him it would not go down too well with our near neighbours, but I'm sure we'd learn to live with that.
