BURNLEY manager Steve Cotterill has heaped praise on Graham Alexander for his role in Scotland's Euro 2008 qualifying campaign.
After remaining on the bench in the 3-1 win over Ukraine last weekend, the 36-year-old played in the penultimate group game against Georgia in midweek.
And although Alexandra was on the losing side, as Georgia ran out 2-0 winners, Cotterill said: "I thought he was one of Scotland's best players.
"He was always available for the ball. He's a superb passer.
"But I still think there's a couple of things Graham can work on in his game as well, and we'll be having a chat about that and try over the coming months to improve him again if we can."
