ROBBIE Blake insists Burnley will be raring to go after the international break.
The Clarets end a fortnight away from domestic action with a trip to Barnsley on Saturday.
And Blake says he and his team-mates will be fully recharged at Oakwell and determined to make amends for suffering a second league defeat of the season in their last outing at Cardiff City.
That 2-1 loss at Ninian Park brought an end to a run of seven games in 21 days - a schedule which Blake feels took its toll on a squad already depleted by serious knee injuries to wide man Besart Berisha and defender Michael Duff.
"With the last few performances we have had it was just nice to have a break to recharge and then get going again and picking up the wins we need," the 31-year-old said.
"The performances haven't been that bad - what killed us more was the last two home games being so disappointing."
However, Blake said there were positives to take from the draws against Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town that preceded the trip to Cardiff.
"We've probably looked on the basis that we should have won the game, but with the bad starts we had in both games and always on the back foot and trying to get into it, that was a most frustrating part" he said.
"We have started games well, got our noses in front and continued to push forward and get the goals, and I think that's what we needed in the home games. But we started too badly and were one goal down against Palace then two goals down against Ipswich after 10 minutes.
"Knowing that we have to score three goals at home to win a game was disappointing.
"But at least we didn't get beat, we didn't roll over and we didn't lost two, three or 4-0.
"We managed to come back and looked the stronger team in those games."
Blake added: "The gaffer was pointing out to us that we needed points and a few good performances to enjoy the couple of weeks off and sit pretty, looking at the league table knowing you are in the top six or seven.
"That didn't happen, but we have got a few big games coming up and we've got to be ready for it and hopefully this break will do us good for that."
