THE talented players keep rolling off the Darwen Netball Club production line.
For the club underlined its reputation as one of the best in the country by revealing its latest list of players who have gained county recognition.
Darwen, frequent visitors to the National Netball Championships, have nine players in the Lancashire Under 15s and Under 13s squads while two further girls have earned trials for the North West High Performance Talent Pathway.
The nine girls who have gained Lancashire call-ups are Amy Stevens, Shannon Knowles, Sadie Pilkington, Emily Whiteside, Katie Ellison, Georgina Chatburn Jones, Chelsey Varcy, Sally Varcy and Jodie Clegg.
Amy and Emily have also earned trials for the North West High Performance Talent Pathway.
Darwen teams have also enjoyed success both locally and regionally in recent weeks.
For Darwen's Under 14s won the North West Teens Tournament at Manchester Velodrome while the club dominated the recent Farley's Netball Festival at Witton Park - winning the Suzanne Gosling Trophy launched in memory of the club's founder.
Darwen One beat Darwen Three to win the trophy while Darwen Two got through to the quarter finals of the Supplementary Cup while Darwen Four were runners-up in the Consolation Cup.
Suzanne's daughter Nicola said: "All of the coaches are very proud of all girls winning the trophy.
"Most of the senior girls travelled back from university to play as this is one of the most important tournaments in the season. Suzanne had been the main lady to develop their netball skills, not only locally but at a national level and making them the players that they are today."
