Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman was thrilled with his side's 3-1 win at Dagenham & Redbridge.
Coleman said: "I was delighted with the win and delighted with the way we played, we worked very hard.
"The first goal was a candidate for, certainly for Accrington's goal of the season, it was a great ball from Leam and then Peter for Leighton and it was really pleasing to get a goal of that quality.
"You have to give Dagenham credit, they have some quality and came back at us after we'd scored but we probably knocked the stuffing out of them with going right back in front again.
"When you work on set plays and they come off like that it's very pleasing and it did seem to knock the wind out of their sails.
"We knew we had to tighten up in the second half, as we didn't defend as well as we could have in the first half when Dagenham put us under pressure, but the third goal gave us that cushion we needed."
Coleman was also full of praise for striker McGivern who marked his first league start of the season with the opening goal and justified his manager's decision to leave D'Sane on the bench.
"Leighton played very well and to have Roscoe come off the bench like he did was also pleasing as he could have had two or three more!" said the boss.
"What I've now got is a squad that I'm comfortable with, because we have strength in depth and I can make a change at any given time."
Even home boss John Still felt that on the balance of play, the result was the right one.
"They were better than us, simple than that," he added.
"We needed to get a goal when we were in the ascendancy but it didn't happen and Accrington were brighter and stronger than us."
