Accrington Stanley made it two away wins on the trot with a convincing success at Dagenham & Redbridge today.
History was certainly on Stanley's side as they had never dropped a point at Victoria Road in their previous three outings and that record didn't look like being broken by a strangely subdued home side.
A quiet opening period was brought to life by a goal that would have graced any game.
Leam Richardson played a sublime crossfield pass to fellow wing back Peter Cavanagh and his stunning first time volley was headed past Tony Roberts by the diving Leighton McGivern.
Chris Moore almost brought Daggers level only to be bravely denied by Ian Dunbavin but the home side did equalise when Glenn Southam and Danny Foster linked up well in the box before Foster's shot was turned past his own keeper by Cavanagh.
The lead was to last a matter of seconds as Cavanagh, celebrating his 26th birthday, made amends immediately, crossing for Andrew Proctor to power a header past Roberts as Daggers switched off.
After the break, the home side upped the tempo enjoying some good possession and territory, but despite a number of high balls into the box, Scott Griffiths header wide was their best opportunity.
Even the return of star striker Paul Benson couldn't bring them to life as the visitors made sure of victory when substitute Roscoe D'Sane's effort hit the bar and Mullin nodded in the rebound for his sixth goal of the season.
Stanley were well worth their win as could have added more but the busy D'Sane headed just over and Mullin's curling effort was a whisker away.
