CLITHEROE manager Neil Reynolds insists his side have "nothing to fear" as they look to pull off a major FA Cup shock tomorrow.

The Blues make the journey across the Pennines for a daunting third qualifying round tie at Blue Square North leaders Harrogate Town (1pm kick-off).

St Helens Town, Chorley and Spennymoor Town have all been dumped out by Clitheroe in earlier rounds, but the trip to Wetherby Road could not be more daunting.

Harrogate are unbeaten this season from 13 matches in all competitions, and are among the favourites to clinch promotion to the Conference.

But they made heavy weather seeing off Nantwich Town in the previous round and Reynolds is confident that the Blues can spring a surprise.

"It's a monumental game for us. It's arguably the toughest draw we could have got," said the Clitheroe boss.

"People have been reminding me of how we lost 10-1 at Kettering in the FA Trophy last season.

"It is David versus Goliath, but I genuinely think we can win this game. It might sound funny, but I'm confident we can get a result.

"Obviously, we've got a lot of of respect for Harrogate, but there's nothing to fear.

"We've done brilliantly to get this far. A lot of managers up and down the country would give their right arm to be in the FA Cup at this stage of the competition."

Reynolds will be banking on his star players - including former Blackburn Rovers academy and Accrington Stanley striker Joel Byrom - to perform at the top of their game.

Reynolds added: "We've got three or four players that I believe can play in the Blue Square North. Joel Byrom would walk into a lot of clubs in that league.

"But we need those key players to put in nine or 10 out of 10 performances, while the others have got to be eight or nines."
