Sam Hart has agreed a one year contract extension at Rovers.
The defender, currently out on loan at Southend United, saw his previous deal expire in the summer.
But the 22-year-old, who signed from Liverpool in 2017, has now agreed a deal which will see him under contract at Ewood Park until 2020.
Hart has played just seven times for Rovers since signing on transfer deadline day in August 2017.
The last of his appearances for the club came as a substitute against Scunthorpe United in December 2017.
He has since gone on to have three separate loan spells, two at Rochdale and his current one with Southend.
