IT'S going to be a busy Christmas and New Year period for us with four games to come between now and the end of January.
We have challenged the boys to win at least two of those games and there is no reason why we cannot do that.
We were beaten 4-1 at Sheffield in the cup on Sunday with James Royds scoring for us and there were some positive signs to take from the performance.
I felt we played quite well and we did the little things right which was nice to see.
It was an improved display but we are just a bit short on squad depth at the moment and that is making a difference.
We have four games to look forward to now, starting with Billingham at home on Saturday.
That is one we really want to win, we lost to them last time we played them and we weren't happy with how we played so hopefully we can put that right this weekend.
We then play Hull Pirates home and away which will be two difficult games before ending the year against Sutton Sting away.
We have to be confident that we can take at least four points from those games and it will mean the table will start to look a bit better heading into January.
We are seventh at the moment and Sutton and Billingham are both behind us so winning those games will be important if we are to try and catch the top four. Although there is a big gap as things stand we have a lot of games in hand on sides above us and have the chance to cut that deficit over the next few weeks.
There is certainly no rest for us over Christmas, we are used to playing around this time of year and I think we will probably train in between Christmas and New Year as well.
