ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman is excited to see some of his fringe players get the chance to impress in tonight’s Checkatrade Trophy tie with West Brom Under-21s.
The Reds chief is set to ring the changes for the game with the Baggies youngsters and confirmed that loanees Matty Platt and Luke Charman will both feature.
Stanley won their opening group match against Macclesfield and another victory will see them reach the knockout stages.
And, with a Wembley prize on offer for the finalists, Coleman is going all out for victory at the Wham Stadium.
“We can get players games and minutes and we want to win that game,” he said.
“We have got a good squad, there are players itching to get on. We have got two cracking loan players in Luke Charman and Matty Platt who we can’t get in.
“There will be some lads getting a game who haven’t been playing and it will be nice to see Matty and Luke get their chance.”
The Reds are in the box seat in Group C of the Northern Section and will qualify for the last 32 with a win having beaten Macclesfield Town 4-1 in their opening match.
