West Brom are sweating on the fitness of four first-team players ahead of tomorrow’s game with Rovers, with top scorer Dwight Gayle likely to miss out.
Rovers head to The Hawthorns to face a Baggies side beaten in their last two matches, including a 4-1 defeat to Derby on Wednesday.
Top scorer Gayle suffered a calf injury during that game and was forced off at half-time, as was full back Kieran Gibbs, who jarred his hip making a covering slide tackle.
Gareth Barry (calf) and Ahmed Hegazi (hamstring strain) are also still doubts for the game, but Jake Livermore will return from suspension.
“Dwight is the more doubtful one,” admitted Moore.
“He limped off at half-time following the incident when he went through on goal.
“His heel got caught. He tried to run it off but he couldn’t carry on second half. So he’s a doubt.
“We’ll assess Gibbs to see where he’s at. He’s another one who could be 50/50.
“When he sprinted back and made a sliding tackle he jarred something in his hip. We have to see how he is, as he tried to run it off it just tightened up on him.
“We’ll check on Ahmed as well and Gareth Barry. Those two are 50/50 too.
“I’ll be advised by the medical team today or tomorrow to see if any or all are fit. It’s part and parcel of the demands of the league.”
Moore was boosted by the return of Matty Phillips for the midweek defeat, but the Baggies now have an extended injury list.
But the Baggies boss won’t rush anyone back unnecessarily.
He told the Express & Star: “You can’t take the risks in this league, the games come that thick and fast,” he said. “Even if you lose a player for two or three weeks because of the relentless demands of the league you could miss them for six games.
“Last year we were playing one game a week, here you could miss five or six games in two weeks. These are the things I take into consideration.
“You’re better off taking him out for one game and having him in for the next four or five than risking him for one game and having him out for the next four or five.
“What you’re like after game one and game three in a week is very different. We’re looking at each game.”
