Paceman Oliver Newby has penned a new contract at Lancashire - along with batsman Paul Horton - which will see him at the Red Rose county until the end of 2009.
Newby, 23, made his Red Rose debut in 2003 and has regularly featured in the Lancashire line up for the past two seasons.
With the likes of Cork, Chapple and Mahmood spearheading the Lancashire attack this year, opportunities have been limited for Newby, but when selected he has delivered, notably his best match figures of 8-211 earlier this season against Warwickshire.
