STANLEY crashed out of the Johnstone Paints Trophy following a dramatic second half comeback by Oldham last night.

Roscoe Dsane, on his full Reds debut, gave the home side a dream start with a ninth minute opener.

Oldham failed to clear John Miles' free-kick and from 20 yards out, Dsane beautifully curled his effort past veteran keeper Mark Crossley into the top corner.

John Coleman's men were by far the better team and scored a deserved second from the penalty spot on 29 minutes.

Former Preston defender Sean Gregan fouled Dsane and Andy Procter did the rest, sending Crossley the wrong way from 12 yards.

Oldham's best chance came from Craig Davies just before half-time when his 20-yard drive just fizzed wide.

The Latics reduced the arrears when Andy Liddell thumped a 20-yard effort in the bottom cormer after 55 minutes.

And before Stanley had chance to re-group, Oldham levelled when Davies skipped around Ian Dunbavin before slotting into an empty net.

The Latics completed their comeback on 73 minutes when sub Matt Wolfenden turned and spun before finding the bottom corner.

Stanley worked hard to grab an equaliser and their best chance came in the final few minutes with Leighton McGivern's low shot was kept out by Crossley's left boot.
