COLNE matched UniBond opponents Nantwich Town in every aspect of the game in this FA Cup Preliminary Round match, until they were dealt a cruel late blow.

After a tentative start, Colne began to dominate the midfield areas and on 15 minutes they came close when Liam Garbutt latched onto Scott Gizon's pass, but his attempt went wide.

But on 25 minutes they took a deserved lead when Gizon flicked on Mark Crossley's long clearance for Kevin Urwins to hit a sweet drive into the top corner.

Nantwich's only shot of the half came just before the break when Phil Parkinson met a Danny Griggs corner but his effort was well saved by Crossley.

In the second half, the early pressure came from Colne.

Then against the run of play with just seven minutes remaining Nantwich grabbed an equaliser thanks to Ashley Carter.

The game appeared to be destined for a replay but with just two minutes remaining Nantwhich were awarded a dubious free kick and Griggs' pinpoint cross was headed home by Kinsey.

Colne's misery was completed in the dying seconds when Andy Bott added a third goal.
