LEADING 2-0 at half time with goals from Vinny Braine on 15 minutes and Gareth Baker on 16 minutes, Padiham ran out of steam in the second half allowing Ashton Athletic to grab a share of the points.
Adam White got the home side back in to the game with a goal on 68 minutes and three minutes later Chris Lawton forced home the equaliser after Paul Townshead's header rebounded back to him off the Storks' crossbar.
Padiham are at home to Holker Old Boys on Saturday in a rearranged NWCL Divison One fixture.
