ACCRINGTON Stanley manager John Coleman has insisted he won't be rushed into making panic buys as Friday's transfer deadline looms large.

But the Reds boss confirmed that talks were taking place in an attempt to bring another two defenders to the Fraser Eagle Stadium.

After a clean sheet on the opening day, Stanley have gone on to leak five goals in their last two league matches.

And Coleman said: "We're trying to bring in a couple of defenders this week, but there's no panic because we can still use the loan system.

"We knew we had to bring in a few new players (at the start of the summer) and we'd rather take our time with that and get it right."
