BURNLEY go into half time level despite a number of opportunities to take the lead against Oldham at Turf Moor.
It was the visitors who started the brighter with successive early free kicks.
But Robbie Blake and Andy Gray were soon on the offensive and the Scottish international had an excellent chance on 18 minutes, but he headed Wade Elliott's cross wide.
Steven Caldwell was also wide with his left-footed attempt minutes later.
And on the half hour mark, veteran keeper Mark Crossley held a Blake effort from 35 yards.
Gary McDonald briefly threatened for Oldham, but neither team could break the deadlock before the interval.
