Dafabet are set to be replaced as Rovers’ front of shirt sponsor with the club currently in negotiations with other companies.
The new kits for the 2018/19 won’t be announced until a shirt sponsorship deal has been finalised.
It is hoped that will be in time for the first friendly of pre-season at Hibs on Sunday, July 8.
Rovers announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement with online gaming company Dafabet in 2015, but that will come to an end after three years ahead of the club’s return to the Championship.
Last season the club added a number of new sponsors, including the Energy Check and Recruitment Driven as back of the shirt, and shorts, sponsors.
The club has also added a social media and website partners during the course of this season.
And Greg Coar, the club’s head of commercial and marketing, says Rovers are seen as a much more viable option by companies now following their promotion back to the second tier.
On a new sponsorship deal, he said: “I can’t say who it is.
“Dafabet are officially still our sponsors until the end of this month.
“But we have had long discussions since we’ve been promoted because most brands with any viable interest wanted us in the Championship.
“We’ve had really positive discussions and it’s fantastic that some serious brands are interested in being involved and associated with us.
“I’d hope that in the next couple of weeks we’ll be able to make an announcement.
“We’re very close on one, but what we are trying to do is get the best deal for the club and we’re working really hard on that.”
When asked when the kits would be announced, he added: “Hopefully it will be the second week in July in time for the first friendly at Hibs is what the aim is.”
Chief Executive Steve Waggott revealed earlier this year that he was looking to increase Rovers’ commercial revenue on the back of the club’s success on the pitch following promotion from League One.
And he said: “Commercially we obviously want them in for the Liverpool game.
“It’s a big task to work on but we’re getting closer on it.”
