Bradley Dack added to his growing collection of awards by being named the Rovers Disabled Supporters Club player of the year.

Dack claimed the main prize at the sold-out event at Ewood Park on Tuesday, with 250 fans getting to meet the players, boss Tony Mowbray as well as the Academy players.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a stunning debut season at Ewood Park after joining from Gillingham and was named League One player of the year last month and picked in the EFL team of the year.

More awards could yet follow at the club’s end of season awards, but Dack was quick to praise the impact of those around him.

He said: “It’s been a really special season and hopefully we cap it with another win on Saturday.

“What happens in the game, we can’t do anything about that, but we’d love to finish top of the pile.

“I joined to get promoted. Having seen the players we had here and the players the gaffer added, this was the reason I signed to get to that next level.

“You could tell by the celebrations at Doncaster how much it meant to us.

“That’s down to everyone at the club, it’s just the players, it’s a real club effort and we’re happy to do that for everyone.

“To win the award is an honour but I couldn’t have done it without any of my team-mates, the staff, so it’s a real team effort.”

Midfielder Richie Smallwood won the PFA community player of the year award for 2017/18.

Lewis Travis was named young player of the year after a real breakthrough season for the club, helping the Under-23s to the Premier League 2 Division Two title and gaining experience at first-team level along the way.

For that title success with the Under-23s, boss Damien Johnson was named as club man of the year.

Lynda Shepherd was awarded the Rovers Ladies player of the year with the skipper having scored in the FA Women’s Premier League Cup final which Gemma Donnelly’s side won, while they remain in a strong position to retain their Northern Premier League title and the Lancashire Cup.
