Timeline: How Rovers' January transfer window has played out so far

Here’s a timeline of how things have played out.

• December 30: Tony Mowbray reveals that Rovers have tabled two bids for players who are out of contract in the summer. 

• January 1: The Rovers boss insists he won’t be forced in to selling his star names during the January window. 

• January 2: Rekeem Harper recalled.

Rekeem Harper has been recalled by parent club West Bromwich Albion. The 17-year-old played just 11 games for #Rovers and didn't feature in either of the last two matchday squads.

• January 4: Ins and outs update from Tony Mowbray. 

TM on Feeney: "I'm pretty sure over the next day or two something will get resolved with that." An extended stay at Cardiff City the most likely.

Tony Mowbray also says he's spoken to MK Dons about the possibility of making Paul Downing's loan move a permanent one. "Without jumping the gun hopefully it's something that we can resolve pretty quickly."

• January 5: Rovers interested in a loan move for Newcastle United striker Adam Armstrong after his spell at Bolton Wanderers is cut short.

• January 8: Rovers announce the signing of Paul Downing on a permanent deal.

• January 9: Rovers sign Adam Armstrong on loan from Newcastle.

• January 12: An attacking player, left-back and a possible central midfield addition remained on Mowbray's wishlist.

• January 13: Transfer update from the boss.

TM was keen to stress to me that any arrivals at #Rovers aren't doing so to replace anyone but to add competition. Certainly sounds like things have moved forward though.

• Sam Hart joins Rochdale on loan.

• January 18: Rovers look to secure Callum Wright's future in light of Everton interest in the teenager. 

• Joe Nuttall signs a new long-term deal at Rovers.

• January 19: Amari'i Bell not behind the hold up to his signing, says Tony Mowbray

• Rovers confirm Amari'i Bell signing

There it is. #Rovers confirm the signing of Fleetwood Town left-back Amari'i Bell for an undisclosed fee. Two-and-a-half-year deal. Can't play tomorrow.

• January 22: Bradley Dack linked with a host of Championship clubs, but Rovers insists no offers received for the 24-year-old.

• January 23: Rovers need to ensure value for money in the transfer market, says Mowbray.

• Rovers linked with Oxford midfielder Joe Rothwell.      

• January 25: Tony Mowbray comments on Bradley Dack rumours.

TM on any offers/interest in Bradley Dack: “Categorically I can say to our supporters, no."
