All-rounder Paul Collingwood has been confirmed as England's new one-day captain.
The 31-year-old Durham player was officially appointed as the successor to Michael Vaughan today.
Chairman of selectors David Graveney said: "The selectors believe that Paul's experience and performances in the one-day game make him the ideal candidate to lead the side."
Collingwood's first task will be to lead England in the one-day series against West Indies, starting next week.
Lancashire paceman James Anderson is in the 14-man squad for the series.
