THE funeral of former Burnley Football Club secretary Albert Maddox will take place this Friday.
Mr Maddox, who was Burnley FC's longest serving secretary and hold the role in the 1960s, 1970s and again in the 1980s, died last week, aged 85.
The family's Turf Moor connections continue to this day, with younger daughter Cathy Pickup the current club secretary.
Mr Maddox's funeral cortege will pass by Turf Moor along Harry Potts Way on Friday, June 22 at 11.45am, en-route to a midday service of remembrance at St Catherine's C of E Church on Todmorden Road.
The service will be followed by a family cremation in Burnley.
