BURNLEY striker Kyle Lafferty is understood to be a transfer target for Championship rivals Wolves.
The Northern Ireland international is believed to be one of three forwards identified by manager Mick McCarthy, which also include Freddie Eastwood, from Southend, and Southend's Billy Sharp.
Sources in the Midlands suggest 19-year-old Lafferty could be the ideal target-man for the Molyneux outfit.
"McCarthy sees 6ft 4ins Lafferty as offering him a different option from his existing forwards," they said.
Lafferty scored five goals in 18 starts for the Clarets last season and bagged a goal for Northern Ireland in a friendly against Finland.
He was subject of transfer speculation in January with Scottish giants Celtic tabling a £500,000 bid, although Burnley value him at more than £1 million.
However, that price-tag would not deter Wolves following Steve Morgan's £30 million investment earlier this year.
