MATT Hope is in the form of his life.

The veteran has been promoted to Lowerhouse's frontline bowling attack this season - and has responded in style.

Hope has already bagged 21 wickets - second only to Enfield's Bernard Reidy in the amateur rankings.

His return of six for 44 against Haslingden last week was one of the performances of the season, and he'll be gunning for Todmorden at Liverpool Road.

House chairman David Wren said: "We asked Matt to bowl a lot more this season because we didn't have a professional and Jonny Russell was injured, and he's been magnificent.

"He's been bowling perfect line and length, and he's really enjoying his cricket. He loves the club, and that shows in his displays."

TODMORDEN make just the one change to their side with Ben Sutcliffe replacing Dave Hatton.

RAWTENSTALL skipper Andrew Payne is confident of finishing off the job at high-flying Enfield.

He said: "We had Enfield at 80-5 in the original match so we are confident we can beat them. Enfield may be riding high at the moment but we have nothing to fear."

Chris Cook-Martin and Mark Roscoe are both missing and will be replaced by Andy Riley and Damion Hanson.

COLNE will be looking to maintain the unbeaten home start to the season when they play Ramsbottom.

Manager Gary Hunt said: "This is a massive weekend for us with two tough games but our home form has been very good and we want to continue this unbeaten run."

Captain Stuart Lemon is unavailable so Michael Wigglesworth comes in to the team.

RAMSBOTTOM are unchanged from the team that played last weekend.

HASLINGDEN welcome Nelson to Bentgate with harsh words still ringing in the players' ears after last weekend's disastrous results.

Captain Mike Ingham said: "On Sunday I hit the roof, we were 71 for one at one point and we finished 98 all out. It was an absolute embarrassment."

Haslingden welcome back Graham and Barry Knowles and Lewis McIntosh, but Lee Ingham is missing due to work commitments and Leighton Paul and Matthew Marcroft are both dropped down to the seconds.

NELSON will hope the return of Craig McMillan to their ranks will mark the turning point in their season.

The New Zealand international makes his first start of the season after recovering from a stomach muscle injury.

He replaces South African Henry David as professional.

Levi Wolfenden makes his senior debut for CHURCH against EAST LANCS who have Mo Patel in place of Andy Clague.
