NELSON skipper is hoping that the arrival of New Zealand international Craig McMillan will kick-start their season.

McMillan, a veteran of 55 Tests and 197 ODIs, was due to link up with the Seedhill side just after the World Cup.

But a stomach injury, picked up in the semi-final against Sri Lanka in Kinsgton, forced the 30-year-old to return to New Zealand to recuperate.

But McMillan is due to fly to the UK next Wednesday and Bradley admitted he was looking forward to having his paid man back in the ranks.

He said: "It's a huge boost for us. Macca really hit the ground running when he came over last season. He put in a match-winning performance in the Worsley Cup final. And that's what we need more of.

"Before Henry Davids got his 50 last weekend, the highest score by one of our professionals was 28 whereas other teams are being led by their professionals.

"Hopefully, Macca's return will be the turning point in our season."
