BLACKBURN'S British Touring Car champion
Adam Morgan
We are unbelievably busy at the moment. We are still building my car and are still building Aiden's car and we have decided to launch a Renalut Clio team to go into the Clio Cup.
We have one driver signed up already and will hopefully have another one done by the end of the week and possibly a third one to come as well.
We were looking to expand a little bit and thought we would give it a go.
Hopefully a lot of young drivers will see it as a stepping stone to the BTCC. If they see a Clio Cup team run by a BTCC team then it should be an attraction for them.
We will be as professional as we can and there is no reason why we can't be challenging at the front end of that series.
It's an exciting project but it does mean we are flat out at the moment.
I will be as involved as I can be. Obviously on a race day I won't be able to do much but I will be driving the trucks down on a Wednesday and helping set things up for the weekend. I'll also be doing a little bit of driving coaching as well.
I'll be doing everything from from driving the trucks to buying the pens.
It is an exciting time for us at the moment.
The new car looks good and it has made quite an impression as well. We didn't want to stray too far from the black and yellow as that is what everyone knows as WIX Racing but we wanted it to look slightly different. I really like it.
It is the same car as last year but we, and most of the other teams, are switching to RML components next year but other than that it is essentially the same.
We had a good year last year and if we can get some more wins this season then that would be great.
I've got my eye on the independent championship this year so there is a bit of pressure there but we will see how we go.
Aiden Moffatt will be racing for Ciceley again. He had a good year last year as well and hopefully he can kick on again this year. We are both in the A-Class and after every session we will sit down with our engineer and talk things through and if he has found something that works for him then he will let me know and vice versa. We have a good working relationship and hopefully he can keep improving.
The series is the pinnacle in this country and it will be very competitive again. I think there are four or five ex champions in the field so it will be a tough ask for us to do well but we are in our fifth season now and are learning all the time.
I think it will be the usual suspects up at the top of the standings again and I would love to be able to throw my name in there.
I was seventh last season and it is about building on that. If we can get off to a good start and maybe pick upa couple of top five placings in the first three rounds then we will be up there from the start and won't have to play catch up which is such a hard thing to do.
I am still learning as a driver and developing and we are still learning as a team. We are a relatively small team resources wise compared to some of the big outfits but there is no reason why we can't challenge.
It is all a bout experience. The top guys accumulate points all the time and that is why they are the top guys. It is a really competitive racing and sometimes we have to think about the bigger picture and ease off when you might get into trouble.
