CLITHEROE’S good run of form continued, after a convincing 3-0 victory against Harrogate Railway Athletic on Saturday writes Lewis Baxter.
Simon Garner’s side were on the back of two victories against Mossley and Lancaster City in previous weeks, with The Blues sitting in fifth prior to the game.

Clitheroe took the lead in the 11th minute, when a cross field ball from Louis Mayers was calmly finished off by Scott Bakkor, taking his goal tally to 11 for the season.
Just before half time Clitheroe had a big shout for a penalty dismissed by the referee, after Scott Harries went down.
Ben Woodhead, in the Clitheroe goal was rarely tested, as the Blues held the lead going into half time.
The visitors looked refreshed and revitalised after the break, but the hosts were awarded a penalty kick when Harriers was tripped by Alex Low and the visiting defender saw red.
However, Scott Bakkor missed the penalty with his shot cannoning off bar and into the grateful arms of the goalkeeper.
Sefton Gonzales did double Clitheroe’s lead, after latching onto a penetrating through ball from substitute James Heywood, and rounding the keeper to score.
Ten-man Harrogate looked fragile in defence, and Gonzales saw an effort ruled out for offside after he had poked home following clever interplay in the box.
But in stoppage time Gonzales did grab his second goal, to make the game 3-0 .
Clitheroe will hope for this form to continue into their next fixtures at Prescot Cables, and the Lancashire Cup tie versus Bacup.
