CLITHEROE boss Simon Garner has challenged his side to build on their fantastic midweek win over previously unbeaten league leaders Northwich Victoria when they visit Warrington tomorrow.
The Blues ended Northwich’s 100 per cent start to the season with a 2-0 victory at Shawbridge on Tuesday night with the three points lifting Garner’s side into sixth place.

The win came on the back of a defeat to mid-table Ossett Town last weekend and Garner is keen for his players to replicate the midweek marvels performance rather than the subdued efforts of last Saturday.
“It was a great performance on Tuesday but we have another tough game now against Warrington who have won five in a row,” said Garner.
“We were really poor against Ossett last week and it is frustrating that we can go from that to the way we played on Tuesday.
“We totally deserved to win the game, we were the only side creating chances.
“We need to find that consistency and hopefully we can do that.”
Garner will be without captain David Lynch for tomorrow’s game with the defender suspended while right back Jimmy Haywood is also unavailable.
And the Blues boss, who bolstered his side with the loan signing of Accrington’s Kealan Steenson this week, admits he is still looking to strengthen his threadbare squad.
“We are down to the bones a bit,” Garner admitted. “I am still looking to see who we can bring in.
“We have brought Kealan in and he started on Tuesday night and did really well. He took 10 minutes to get into the game but after that played well, he can be a good player for us.”
