ENFIELD’S Liam Bedford thinks his side can chase down a top-two finish as the Lancashire League reaches its conclusion.
With Burnley set to secure their first league title since 2006 the race for second spot is between Ramsbottom, Lowerhouse and Enfield.

The Rams currently sit in second, 15 points clear of Lowerhouse and 19 ahead of Enfield with four games to go.
But, with a double-header coming up this weekend, Enfield and Bedford believe that second spot is there for the taking.
“Anything is possible,” said Bedford “I think we finished third last season, so to come back and finish one place above that would be brilliant.
“But it is not a given. It is a tough league and that is why it has been so competitive this season.”
Bedford has been given hope by the form of Enfield’s professional Graeme van Buuren who has hit top form in the past few weeks, coupled with Ramsbottom professional Daryn Smit departing for South Africa.
“Our professional is really coming into form now,” said Bedford.
“He is an excellent cricketer and a real class act.
“It is his first season in England and it took him a bit of time to settle in, but he is now really playing well.
“But it has been a real team effort. We have had different individuals stand up with big performances during the season.
“If Graeme was to come back next year it would be great for us because he could hit the ground running and know what the league is all about.
“Ramsbottom are losing Daryn Smit and that will be a huge loss for them, he has been a big player. They have still got other good players, you don’t get to second on one player, but they will now be brining in sub professionals and it will make a difference.”
Enfield travel to struggling Bacup on Saturday before travelling to Accrington for a derby clash on Sunday and Bedford knows victories are crucial in the quest for second place.
“We had a little bit of a blip in form, but we are over that now and we just want to finish the season strongly.
“We go into Saturday’s game with Bacup expecting to win, the league table doesn’t lie and we should be winning that game.
“Sunday against Accrington is a derby game and it will be a really good match. They are a good side and are in form, so it will be a close game.
“If we can win those two then hopefully we can close the gap to the top two.”
