Play is due to resume at 10am.
Ribble Valley man Young enjoyed a solid Major debut yesterday as he signed for a two over par 74.
The 33-year-old, who came through qualifying, went out in 35 after picking up three birdies in four holes from the fifth.
But, playing in the worse of the conditions, he dropped three shots on the back nine to close the day in a tie for 109th.
It is still a fine performance by the former Longridge player who finished two shots ahead of former World No.1 Tiger Woods.
