DARWEN will have the league summit in their sights when they host Morecambe in a Northern League top of the table clash tomorrow.
The Towers begin the weekend in second place but a victory could conceivably take them to the top of the table in place of their opponents.
Morecambe have lost twice so far this season but hold a 13-point advantage at the top with both sides having played nine games.
Defeat for Darwen, unbeaten at Birch Hall so far this season, could see them slip to third should defending champions Blackpool get the better of a Preston side who are still searching for the first win of the campaign.
Chorley are also hopeful of making a push for the title but defeat last time out to Barrow stilted their push after they had reeled off five straight wins.
Andrew Holdsworth's men, currently fifth, are on the road tomorrow at Kendal.
In the league's other matches fourth placed Fleetwood host Penrith, St Annes travel to Lancaster and Leyland entertain Netherfield.
