ENFIELD are the only side with two wins from two games in the Moorhouses Lancashire League T20 competition after a superb victory over Rishton on Friday night.

It took only four and a half overs for Enfield, inspired by skipper Adam Bracewell, to reach their target of 54.

Bracewell plundered five boundaries to reach 30 off just 10 balls as his side eased to a 10-wicket success.

Earlier, Enfield professional Graeme van Buuren took 4-10 and Chris Bowness 3-15 as Rishton struggled with the bat. Matt Nuttall top scored with 11 as Rishton failed to make it two wins from two.

The result leaves Enfield top of the Blond Witch Group although Ramsbottom, who had a free week on Friday night, still boast a 100 per cent record having won their opening game.

Rawtenstall picked up their first win of the competition to climb to third in the table.

Chris Cook-Martin plundered a superb 85 to help Rawtenstall up to 192-3.

Cook-Martin hit 13 fours and two sixes in his incredible knock which came from just 56 balls.

After he fell to Jimmy Hayhurst, Sam Kershaw took over the mantle with a quickfire 41 not out.

Accrington fell 28 runs short in a valiant run chase with stuart Crabtree hitting 52 and ali Hasham adding an unbeaten 61.

In the group’s other fixture East Lancs overcame Todmorden by five wickets.

The visitors were bowled out for just 68 thanks to fine bowling from home professional JP de Villiers (3-6) and Mark Bolton (3-10).

East Lancs had no trouble chasing that down reaching their target with 3.4 overs to spare. Minhaj Bhada top scored with 20.

Nelson remain top of the Pride of Pendle group despite losing to Lancashire League leaders Burnley.

Cole Hayman took 3-11 as Nelson managed 101 batting first. Neil Thompson then took 3-5 from four overs to leave Nelson in control with Burnley 55-5 but the Turf Moor men hit back thanks to Jon Clare’s 53.

Holders Church got off the mark with victory over Haslingden.

Burton de Wett his 57 as Haslingden reached 109-7 and Church were wobbling at 38-5 but Craig Fergusson’s 33 helped Church turn it round and reach 113-7.

Bacup picked up their first win of the competition with a five wicket win over Colne.

Colne professional Thomas Kaber made 43 as Colne made 116-8 but Bacup batted through the order to secure victory.
