A LOT of people had written Burnley off before the team coach had even pulled up outside St Andrews last weekend.
Not me ... and I've got a winning betting slip to prove it!
Odds of 6/1 on the coupon were too good to miss, especially after watching them against Plymouth, and I had a fiver on them to earn myself a few pints.
It was a great finish by John Spicer and it's good for fringe players like him to come off the bench and show what they can do.
Monday's win over Cardiff capped a complete turnaround, and when I popped my head around the manager's door afterwards and saw Dave Kevan and Steve Davis as well they were all buoyant and it was terrific. After two great results, all of a sudden it's three on the trot.
I don't think Monday's performance was as strong as the Plymouth one, and perhaps they were a little bit leggy after their efforts in the previous two games.
We have the basis of a good squad now and it's something to build on for next season.
Paul McVeigh has been a good addition and he and Andy Gray really seemed to have clicked.
Having said that, everything seems to have clicked right through the side now that we've put the bad run behind us.
It would be great for Gray to get a goal at Leeds, with his last one being in the reverse fixture in November before his injury.
He was out for a long time and it does take a while to pick the pace of the game back up, but I think he's doing that now.
Leeds is a different prospect to the challenges at Birmingham with them scrapping to get out of the bottom three.
Add to that the fact it's a war of the Roses' and it really is a recipe for an intense encounter. It will be a hard, hard game, but Burnley have a hell of a chance on the recent form they've shown.
Finally, I was delighted with the minute's silence for Brian Miller on Monday.
It was a nice gesture and the crowd were brilliant. Sometimes you get a few idiots making noises, but Brian couldn't have asked for anything better and he got the send-off that he deserved.
