AT last! And what a way to break the run'.
There was only going to be one winner from the kick-off against Plymouth, and that's the way they've got to approach things for the rest of the season.
Chances have been created while the run was going on, but the big difference in midweek was that they were converted.
The second goal was crucial. As soon as we got the first I sat down next to my wife and said "We need a second now!" and it was great to see it go in.
Everyone was bright. Andy Gray looked to have more energy and more movement and he got on the end of a couple of half chances. But there were so many pluses all over the pitch.
I thought Eric Djemba-Djemba had an excellent game. He had bundles of energy and his work-rate was terrific.
Steve Jones took more responsibility as well. I've said before, many times, that outside the box he looks a terrific player, but when he gets within 18 yards he seems to hesitate or get the ball stuck between his feet. He gets into these areas so often - he's good at running past defenders and getting into the box, and as soon as he gets to the 18-yard line he's got to be hitting the target. He has a fierce shot on him and he thumped it into the back of the net on Tuesday.
Steve Bruce was at Turf Moor to witness it all and I bet he had plenty to write about as he sat there with his pen and paper.
Tomorrow's a massive game, and it's followed swiftly by another one at home to Cardiff on Easter Monday.
It won't be easy, but Burnley have got to make sure they make the most of that extra spring in their step and that all of Tuesday's hard work counts.
