PROLIFIC Ryan Canning finally has a Houldsworth Ribblesdale League average and Josh Bristol an outstanding bowling analysis after a dramatic game at Church Meadow.
After back to back unbeaten centuries, Ribblesdale Wanderers’ South African star was out for a duck as Bristow sparked a remarkable nine wicket win for visitors Salesbury.

Batting first in a scheduled 37 overs game, Wanderers took 33 off the first eight without losing a wicket before Bristol was introduced into the attack with his left arm deliveries.
Canning, who had plundered 226 runs in his first two innings in the League was second man out, caught at fine leg with the score at 36.
A spectacular collapse that saw the last eight wickets tumbled for just 29 runs then followed. In three overs, two of them maidens, Bristol returned figures of 6-1.
Salesbury passed their target for the loss of just one wicket. Champions Clitheroe made it three wins out of three, recovering from their shock Ramsbottom Cup defeat against Oswaldtwistle Immanuel as they dismissed Whalley for 76.
Baxenden fared even worse in their game against Settle at Marshfield, bowled out for 57 chasing 103.
Read shared 441 runs with Earby. Joey Marshall was the bedrock of Read’s 227-9 with 63 with nine boundaries and two sixes.
Chris Walton’s 61 kept the Applegarth outfit in contention but 5-68 in 16 overs from Keegan Petersen made the difference in Read’s eventual 13 run victory.
Brinscall breezed to an eight wicket home win over Euxton while Great Harwood beat Cherry Tree.
