ADAM Morgan heads for Donington Park this weekend, looking to build on his excellent start to the 2015 British Touring Car Championship.

The talented Whalley driver was in the points in all three races at Brands Hatch two weeks ago, culminating in a weekend-best of fourth place.

That was enough to put Morgan and his WIX Racing team seventh in the driver standings, just ten points off early leader and race three winner Matt Neal.

“All in all I was very happy with the way the races panned out,” said Morgan.

“Brands is one of the tightest tracks on the calendar, and our fourth place in race two was the highlight of the day.

“The team have been meticulous in their preparation of the car and I am very grateful for the commitment, dedication, effort and long hours they continue to give to me and the car.”

And the result was achieved against the odds following the news that the Ciceley Motorsport chef Steve Rossi, who was based in South Wales, had passed away suddenly in the team hotel on the Saturday night.

“The team showed their true spirit this weekend when we received the devastating news that Steve Rossi had passed away,” Morgan added.

“We all worked very closely with Steve and his sense of humour and presence will be missed by us all.”

Rounds 3, 4 and 5 of the BTCC will be shown live on ITV4 on Sunday morning from 11.30am.
