AT any normal time you would certainly take a point at home to Tottenham.

But the games are running out in the battle against relegation, and I think three points would be very welcome on Sunday if we’re going to climb beyond the bottom three.

We beat Manchester City in our last game at Turf Moor so I think we can go into this game full of confidence.

City are the best team in the league along with Chelsea, so there’s certainly no reason for us to fear Tottenham.

I think Tottenham will respect us after that City result, but I don’t think anyone has ever taken Burnley lightly this season with some of the results we’ve had.

Tottenham aren’t the sort of side who will play with any sort of fear. They are a team who like to attack and they have always been great going forward.

Obviously they’ve got Harry Kane, but it’s not just him.

They’ve got a lot of good attacking players - including Andros Townsend who will be full of confidence after scoring a great goal in Italy in midweek.

It’s just defensively that teams have sometimes been able to get at Tottenham and hopefully that’s something Burnley can benefit from.

Danny Ings hasn’t scored for a little while but all good strikers have little runs without scoring at times and even when he hasn’t scored he does a lot for the team.

He’s a threat whenever he’s on the pitch and hopefully he can get back among the goals on Sunday.

I enjoyed my appearance for the Vintage Clarets last week against Alsager. We won 5-3, I scored a couple and created a couple, and even our captain John Deary scored!

I’m sorry that I can’t make it for the game at Nelson on Sunday to help raise funds for the Joe Fagan Stand, but I wish the lads well and I’ll be back for the game at Haslingden on April 19.
