TEAM spirit works in different ways.
When we were enjoying a winning habit last season then it was easier to come by. This year has been very different and we've tried alternative things in training and off the field to keep the feelgood factor alive.
But there wasn't a better way to boost things in that department than last Saturday's win over Torquay - our first clean sheet since the last time we played them back in October - and we created the kind of tempo that we hope will spill over into this weekend.
There is no doubt that the fans played a vital role on Saturday too, the atmosphere they generated made a massive difference to us, and we can only keep our fingers crossed that we did enough to encourage most, if not all of them, to return when we entertain Hereford United.
We dominated for long periods and tried to win the game by playing entertaining football and I'm sure we would have won even if they still had 11 men on the field. For those supporters not to come back would be an injustice to the lads.
One person who has returned to us is goalkeeper David Martin, and we're delighted with that.
He and Godwin Antwi, who has also joined us from Liverpool for a month, have come into the club without feeling the pressures that the rest of the lads have had all season and you look at them as a calming influence.
