Blackburn boss Mark Hughes is convinced he has snapped up one of the best bargains of the Premiership season after yet another towering performance from 6ft 5ins defender Chris Samba.
The Congo defender earned rave reviews for the way in which he snuffed out Arsenal's attacking threat on Wednesday.
Hughes said: "Chris has done marvellously well and I think he has been an extremely good bit of business on our part.
"I remember sitting and speaking to him about having a few games then seeing if he could force his way into the team next season. But it has already happened because of the quality he has shown ."
