THE FA has charged Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel with violent conduct after he appeared to stamp on Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea in Sunday’s Anfield clash between the sides.
Unless Skrtel successfully appeals he will be handed a three-match ban – ruling him out of the FA Cup quarter-final replay at Blackburn Rovers on April 8.
Liverpool will certainly be without their captain Steve Gerrard against Rovers after he was sent off in the 2-1 loss to United.
